Despite a late start today was good. After breakfast, yet again at Denny’s, I caught the trolley to downtown. My first stop was a bookstore – it was huge. New, used and rare books scattered across three floors. The air was thick with the smell of old paper and ink. There is something about places like that; where magic lives.

I walked up a few blocks, through construction, for the heck of it and got a lot of photos. I called it a day before I got to Temple Square and on the way back I ended up getting on the wrong trolley because I mixed up which station transfers to the University Line.  I ended up about two blocks over from the street I wanted to be on and no closer to the hotel. I voted to walk back the long way, since I might not get that direction again this week, so I ended up finding the International Sculpture Garden and got derailed from my Quest to the Hotel by taking more photos. Sort of que sera sera.

Eventually I made it back to the hotel. I went for a swim and discovered that the pool is as cold during the day as it is at night, though having warm sun definitely helps. I think I’m going to stick to the hot tub. Dinner was at Ollo’s – expensive, fancy, but good. The evening was spent networking computers so that I can use the internet without using mom’s laptop.

Tomorrow the Young Living stuff starts and mom wants to arrive early for registration. As soon as my photos finish uploading to flickr I’m going to go to bed.
