Today we went on the Underground Tour. It was fun and sort of educational – I say sort of because I read most of the history they told while I was researching the underground. The tours were scripted, but the guides were good enough that the delivery wasn’t stiff or flat like scripted things can be. The humor was well timed and current. I tried to take pictures but the lighting was bad so probably only a small few will be decent.
Afterwards we checked out a toy shop across the street from where the tour started. It was a neat place and it had lots of stuff. I found some really small origami paper and when we go back downtown I’m going to get some more and maybe a beautiful little box I saw if they still have it. The small origami paper makes the cutest little paper cranes; I want to make a whole bunch and hang them from my ceiling.
