As I lack a decent photo of myself, here's a picture of my best bud watching a squirrel - you never know what the devious bastards will do next.

When, at the age of eleven, Jean Marie Tatro found herself sharing space with a word processor becoming a writer seemed the natural thing. And far more achievable then becoming an astronaut. Every spare moment since then her mind has been brimming with stories.

She really didn’t come to writing until 2004 when she participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time. Despite the usual chaos that occurs whenever someone tries to do something important she has won every year since. She claims that she learned every thing she ever needed to know about writing, and some things she didn’t, during the annual event.

When not writing she plays video games(The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time being her all-time favorite), and thus rambles about video games a lot. She also enjoys reading, listening to music and podcasts, and taking long walks with her dogs. Sometimes she finds time to draw as well.

Born and raised in Alaska, Jean currently lives in Wasilla with a spoiled red Austrailian Cattle Dog(Chai) and a petite Shetland Sheepdog(Velvet). She is also one of the founding members of a local writing group.
